Capturing moments, expressions, glimpses, secrets…freezing those memories to look back on; its inspiring. Hoping that what I get ‘on film’ will still be cherished after those moments are simple memories is what I enjoy as a photographer.
Well hello there !! This is the hard part for myself. Writing about me, because I really don’t know what to exactly say. For the most part I’m simply, well me; a bit quirky, a bit simple & a whole lotta energy! Random dance moments happen in my house often, as well as bursting out into laughter at something that happened hours ago. I quote my favorite movies in everyday conversation. If photography is my heart, allowing me to see the world as I view it, then music is my soul. It’s poetry set to notes that speak the words I often stumble upon.
For the first twelve years of my life I grew up in a small town next to the mighty Mississippi in the state of Wisconsin. It was one of those great little towns where I could ride bike to any placeI wanted to go & come home when the street lights came on.
Photography has always been part of the family. My father was an avid amateur, where my sister & I were his (unwilling) models. He always tried to encourage his love of photography on to me. My inner shutterbug didn’t really blossom until my late years in collage. Eventually a friend of mine, who already had her own business, approached me to join her. We partnered up in hopes that things would take off. After a few years, and a couple of babies, she decided to focus on her family.
From that I started DashTwo Studios. I have loved every minute of it. It has been a huge adventure with some wonderful people that I have had the pleasure of getting to know. Everyone single one of them is a gem.
